Booking and Cancellation Policy – GDPR Training Courses

1. Booking:

Booking online or over the phone booking will reserve a place for the nominated participant but does not guarantee a place until payment in full has been received of all applicable course fees.

2. Invoicing

Upon receipt of your booking, our accounts department will raise and issue an invoice to the email address listed.

3. Payment

Payment terms are strictly 30 days from the date of invoice or prior to course commencement, whichever comes earliest. As stated above the place is not guaranteed until payment in full has been received.

4. Course cancellation

Cancellation by the organisers The Data Protection Group reserves the right to cancel a training event, at any time prior to the actual start of the course. In such circumstances, participants will be advised as soon as possible by telephone or email, and the purchaser will be entitled to a full refund of the course fee, or the course fee can be credited towards a future course, at the purchaser’s choice. Any repayment will be by the same method as the payment. The organisers will not be responsible for any loss or expenses incurred by the participant or purchaser, howsoever arising, irrespective of the length of notice given.

5. Cancellation by the participant

Notice of a training participant’s intention to cancel a course registration must be made in writing (letter, fax or email), and in good time, to The Data Protection Group. In such cases, participants will have the option of nominating a replacement to attend in their place. Such notice is subject to the following terms:

5.1         Participants whose cancellation request is received more than 10 working days prior to the start date of the training course will receive a full refund or credit.

5.2        Participants whose cancellation request is received less than 10 working days prior to the start date of the training course will be charged 100% of the full fee.

5.3         Participants who fail to attend the course will be charged 100% of the full fee.

6. Transfers Notice of a training Participant’s intention to defer to a future course must be made in writing, and in good time, to The Data Protection Group. Such notice is subject to the following terms:

6.1         Participants whose deferment request is received more than 10 working days prior to the start date of the training course will incur no penalty and will be accommodated immediately on another course at the applicable fee.

6.2         Participants whose deferment request is received less than 10 working days prior to the start date of the training course may incur a penalty and this may result in them not being allowed to defer. This request will incur an administration fee of 10% of the original course fee plus any increase in the price of the new course. If the new course is a lesser fee, no refund or reduction is allowed.

7. Substitutions

Where a Participant who cannot attend nominates a suitable replacement to attend in their place, no penalty will be incurred. The suitable replacement must meet the Entry Requirements for the course, otherwise, the applicable cancellation fee will apply.
